Joseph D. Rizzi, President, Executive Trustee, Jupiter cofounder. The Chairman and a cofounder of Liquid Robotics Inc., Joe was previously a general partner at Matrix Partners LLP, a Silicon Valley venture capital organization. While at Matrix he helped launch and was on the board of many small and large companies. He founded and ran several companies in Silicon Valley during the 1970s and 80s.
Jorge del Calvo, Trustee. Jorge has been a partner with Pillsbury Winthrop LLP since 1990. He is one of the most experienced IPO attorneys in the country, with clients ranging from unfunded start-ups to Fortune 500 companies.
Bruce Kamolnick, CFO, Trustee. Bruce handles finance and accounting matters for Jupiter, as well as supporting various active projects. He is a cofounder of Liquid Robotics Inc., and formerly practiced accounting at Frank, Rimerman LLP and Hutchinson, Bloodgood LLP. He received his CPA license in 1999.

William Stutz, Director, VP, Chief Scientist, Jupiter cofounder. Bill is a highly experienced semiconductor and electronic systems design engineer. A cofounder of Liquid Robotics Inc., he previously held engineering leadership positions at several prominent Silicon Valley companies.

Kurt Kiesow, Director, VP, Jupiter cofounder. Kurt was a founder of The Network Technology Group, and Applications Unlimited. He is a cofounder of Liquid Robotics Inc., and held senior leadership positions at SAIC and AristaSoft. In his spare time, he enjoys Amateur Radio and SCUBA diving.

Tim Richardson, Director, Jupiter cofounder. Tim is a Strategic Advisor at Georgia Tech Research Institute. He was previously President and CEO of Micro Linear Corporation, a publicly traded company which was acquired by Sirenza Microdevices in 2006. He is a cofounder of Liquid Robotics Inc., and a cofounder and President of VeriFiber Technologies.

Beth Goodwin, Director, VP, Hawaii Operations. Beth, a USCG Licensed Captain has spent more than 30 years identifying marine mammals throughout the Eastern Tropical Pacific. She is a cofounder of Liquid Robotics Inc., and has also owned a whale watch tour in Hawaii and was a SCUBA instructor and competitive swimmer for many years. She has an M.A. in Physiology & Behavioral Biology from San Francisco State University and a B.A. in Marine Biology from UC Santa Cruz.

Roger Dellor, VP, Staff Scientist. Roger came to the U.S. from England in 1966 to work for Fairchild Semiconductor, where he spent many hours peering through microscopes, subsequently has been an integral part of our Ocean Microscope development. Since then he has worked for several semiconductor, computer, and networking companies. Other interests include mountain biking, chicken wrangling, and being a grandfather.

Murray Taylor, Marine Operations, Electronic Engineering. Murray is a Hawaii transplant originally from New Zealand where he trained in Telecommunications and Electronic Systems. He is a USCG Licensed Captain with an extensive background in sailing, diving, mechanics, shop work and of course surfing.

Kevin Rea, Director, VP, Software. Prior to joining Jupiter, Kevin has been a software developer, system architect, director and VP of engineering, and a founder at several Silicon Valley startups. Originally hailing from Canada, he holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering from McGill University.

Richard Johnson, Chief Biologist. Dick's academic training and working career were in the field of optics and lasers. He received his PhD from the University of Illinois. Via his design work for major biotech and medical companies he developed an interest in molecular biology. He applies his research knowledge in our lab, and applies his expertise in optics and mechanical design to a variety of Jupiter projects.

Evan Dellor, Bioelectrochemist, Lab Manager. Evan has a background in physics, materials engineering, and electrochemistry, and studied at Colorado College, CO, Columbia University, NY, and the University of California, Berkeley. At present he manages the bioelectrochemical signal acquisition and statistical data processing in our plant communications lab. His general interests include ferrous metallurgy and knife making, the culinary arts, gardening, viticulture and fermentation science.

Heike Schmitz, Research Associate. Heike supports multiple projects with her scientific, technical, and management expertise. She combines a background in software engineering and management with her passion for marine biology and her interest in marine microalgae. Heike studied Computer Science at the Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, Switzerland, and after a successful career at Google she returned to college for a B.S. in Marine Biology from UC Santa Cruz. She is also a certified SCUBA diver and loves sailing as well as getting involved in marine conservation.

Adam Taufmann, Marine Operations, Mechanical Engineer. Adam was a technical engineer in the U.S. Army for seven years, and then got a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University. He has experience in software as well as electrical engineering and has a passion for learning and creating useful inventions. When not at work you can either find him on the mats training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or in the ocean spearfishing, snorkeling, or SCUBA diving.

Lisa Ziccarelli, Biological Oceanographer. A trained phytoplankton taxonomist, "Z" joins the team from MBARI where she analyzed biological instrumentation and evaluated methods for quantifying phytoplankton biodiversity. She received her master’s in biological oceanography from UCSC and her bachelor's in biology from UIUC. She is also a dive master and enjoys sharing her passion and knowledge of marine life.

Mark Grandoni, Marine Operations. In memory of Captain Mark, 1956-2012, an avid mariner, explorer and adventurer. He excelled at his work with Jupiter and is greatly missed.
